Azizah Rowen SAG/AEA
Azizah Rowen is an actress, writer, digital creator, producer, songwriter and musician.
Azizah Rowen landed her first acting job at age six. From there, she was off and running as a lifelong storyteller: during her career she's worked as an actress in TV, film, and at notable theater companies in LA., SF, NYC, and London. She is a founding member of the renowned Workshop 360 theater company in L.A. and received her BA in Theatre from USC. She has also studied at The Imagined Life in Los Angeles, The Groundlings in Los Angeles, RADA in London, The Barrow Group in New York, Atlantic Acting School in New York, and The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. She is a proud member of SAG/AEA, a member of NYWIFT (New York Women in Film and Television), and resides in Los Angeles.
Azizah is co-founder of ankinrowen productions in NYC and has produced off-Broadway plays in conjunction with WET (Women's Expressive Theater) including the world premiere of Brooke Berman's A Perfect Couple at the DR2. She has also produced readings at the Rattlestick theater in NYC and The Bay Street theater in Sag Harbor, NY to name a few.
As a musician and songwriter, Azizah's songs have been featured on the hit show Switched At Birth on ABC family, and the feature film Women and Sometimes Men. Her music is available on all streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify. and she has played live shows in NYC, SF and LA.
Azizah is a co-Author of the recently published book, This Is Motherhood. She is currently in active development on two screenplays and is the creator and co-Host of the podcast "Sibling Grievery" found on Spotify, Podcast, and Amazon. She is also founding member of the Superbloom House creative collective and an ambassador for the March of Dimes Charity.
